Scott at the South Pole, 100 Years Ago Today!

100 years ago today Captain Robert Falcon Scott and his team reached the South Pole, the second group of men to achieve the incredible feat after Amundsen and his Norwegian counterparts.


Scott and his team were unfortunate to not return alive, they completed half of their mission in reaching the pole but were beaten by fatigue, starvation and conditions, dying mere miles from their final food drop and just days away from their Terra Nova crew members and safety.
