Man dies on Everest aged 82!

Some will know that 82 year old Shailendra Kumar Upadhyaya was attempting to become to oldest person to summit Everest by reaching the summit during this season. Sadly, according to the adventure blog, Shailendra died having climbed up to camp one at over 6,000m. The cause of death is unknown but will surely become known in  a matter of days. This is incredibly sad as every death on a mountain is and will be remembered as a sign for others trying to beat age records.

It is said that this man had very little mountaineering experience and at that age should he have been there? Either way it was an incredible effort and shows that with age you don't have to give up doing great things and taking on adventures of all kind.

  1. This is sad especially the fact that he was doing it to show that aged people are capable of completing something such as Mt Everest. Good on him for trying!
