Magnificent Monday: Rainbow Clouds over Everest

As you will all know Everest is the tallest mountain on Earth and is a mystical to behold in itself; both beautiful and incredible daunting. I stood on the top of Kala Pattar as recently as this summer and was able to gaze at this monster of a mountain. I wasn't, however, lucky enough to see what is shown in the photographs below!

Oleg Bartunov captured something that rarely happens - a Rainbow Cloud. "The phenomenon is caused by light reflecting off tiny ice crystals inside the body of the cloud's water vapour" says the Daily Mail.

Click on the pictures to see their beauty in even bigger form and find out more on the Daily Mail site. Enjoy!
