The Great North Run

The Great North Run is one of the most famous Half Marathons in the world, with over 50,000 people taking part in the heart of the incredible city of Newcastle in Northern England. This year the run is taking place on the 18th September and I've signed up for it! Being a Half Marathon i'd love to be able to do it in under 2 hours; has anyone got any long distance running tips?

I'm going to be running for the incredible charity Great Ormond Street Hospital Childrens Charity due to a close link with the Hospital and for the incredible work they do in saving so many Children's lives. When all the signing up is sorted I'll post about fundraising and hopefully you would be willing to donate to such a worthy cause. Running it for charity will doubtlessly spur me on to complete it in a good time!

I'll have to start my training soon; if anyone has any motivation please feel free to comment or e-mail me! Or if you're doing it too please let me know!
