Via Alpina: A Journey Across the Alps

I recently received an e-mail from Brandon Wilson telling me about his incredible adventure along the Via Alpina; a route that took Brandon and his Wife, by foot, along the length of the Alps - 1200 miles in 111 days! I thought the feat was well worth a post; it looks incredible and like something I'd love to do! The following video gives some great pictures and information about the trip:

The path takes in an incredible 8 countries across the length of the Alps providing an incredible wealth of scenery, experiences and culture. The eight countries the path goes through are Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Germany, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, France and Monaco. Whether you want to see a huge area of Europe or merely want a challenge then the Via Alpina is something you should do - an incredible adventure! Thanks to Brandon Wilson for letting me know about this inspiring adventure of his; on his page (linked to above) you can find more information on the trip and the book he wrote on it! Probably best done in the Summer; the Snow in Winter would make it a lot more difficult one would assume! Enjoy!
